EYOF 2023 MARIBOR HAS AN ADEQUATE NUMBER OF ACCOMMODATIONS FOR ATHLETES AND ACCOMPANYING STAFF IN THE STUDENT DORMITORIES.
This year’s European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor will bring together young athletes from 48 European countries to compete in a variety of sports. The organizers provided 2,543 beds in student dormitories for the athletes and accompanying staff, with the support of the students. We believe that good and safe accommodations are essential for a positive sports experience and successes.
As organizers, we are committed to provide adequate accommodation for all participants. We are happy to announce that together with the Administration of ŠD UM, the representative of ŠD UM, the University of Maribor and the Municipality of Maribor, we have managed to secure as many as 2,543 beds out of the target 2,500. In student dormitories, where a sports village will be established, only athletes and accompanying staff will be housed.
It is extremely important that the athletes have access to high-quality, suitably equipped accommodation units that ensure comfort and safety for the athletes during competition preparations. As a result, student dorms are an excellent choice for athletes and support staff because they provide accommodation near numerous sports facilities for training and recreation. We recognize that providing quality lodging is critical to a positive sporting experience and performance.
The organizing committee of EYOF 2023 Maribor would like to sincerely thank all the students staying at ŠD UM and who signed the annex for voluntary temporary emigration during the European Youth Olympic Festival, which will take place in Maribor this summer between July 23 and 29.
We would like to thank the Administration of ŠD UM, the representative of ŠD UM, the University of Maribor and the Municipality of Maribor, who helped us provide more than 2,500 necessary capacities in student dormitories for the establishment of a sports village. Special thanks go to all the clerks of ŠD UM.
