Maribor, a city with a big heart for sports, is proud that the city will come alive in the Olympic spirit during the European Youth Olympic Festival. This will give athletes from 48 countries and visitors the opportunity to come together in a unique event and strengthen the values of fair play, friendship and tolerance. With an exceptional sports programme and attractive accompanying events, we will witness unforgettable moments that will go down in the history of the city and in the hearts of all participants.
Swimming, judo, tennis, volleyball, artistic gymnastics, athletics, road cycling, handball and for the first time also skateboarding, mountain biking and 3x3 basketball.
The numerous interesting events of the diverse accompanying programme of the festival will provide relaxed and pleasant socialising and a unique experience of the city.

#One city, one hearth
With more than 30 years of tradition, the European Youth Olympic Festival is the largest multi-sport event for young athletes aged 14 to 18. Athletes come from 50 countries of the European continent (in our case 48), with the summer edition drawing in some 3,600 athletes and the winter edition some 1,600 athletes.
