About the EYOF 2023 project, which will take place in Maribor next year, the mayor, Mr. Saša Aleksander Aresonič:
“[…] Because of the […] organization of the European Youth Olympics Festival (EYOF), the largest sports event in independent Slovenia, we received 3.2 million from the previous government for the renovation of the Tabor Hall.«

[…] And because of EYOF, which we will carry out, we will get a lot of new equipment, which will remain here for schools, clubs and associations, and recreational users.«
