The collected beverage packaging from the pilot project will be brought to life as a victory stage for the best athletes.
Last autumn, Coca-Cola launched a pilot project to collect beverage packaging waste under the slogan “Recycle me. Give me a new life“, tested the willingness of consumers in Slovenia to adopt a sustainable attitude towards packaging waste and to return cans and bottles to the point of sale. The project received an excellent response – consumers collected over half a million waste plastic bottles and cans in two months.
The collected packaging waste will be brought to life as a victory stage for the 2023 European Youth Olympic Festival in cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia!
After the festival, organizers will donate the OFEM stage to local sports organizations to hold their competitions, giving it a second life.
