The president of the Republic of Slovenia supported EYOF
Support for the biggest youth sports event EYOF, which will be held in Maribor this July, is growing day by day. Its importance has already been recognized by many local and national institutions, but now the event has received special confirmation and support from the President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.
An event that will bring to Slovenia over 3,600 participants from as many as 48 European countries, a thousand representatives from various delegations (IOC, EOC, NOC), media and other personnel, 800 professional sports workers, and over 5,000 visitors (families, supporters…), as well as many as 800 volunteers, is undeniably of exceptional national importance.
According to the director of EYOF, Nataša Ritonija, the support of the President of the Republic of Slovenia proves the latter: “With her honorary patronage, the President of the Republic expresses her support for the EYOF event and our work. We are honoured that she is supporting our efforts and grateful that the event will be held under her honorary patronage. This gives us additional momentum, and the event deserves national visibility.”
The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) will be held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.
One of the main goals of the EYOF organizing committee is excellent mutual relations. The event is a unique opportunity for various stakeholders and institutions to collaborate and integrate.
The event has received a lot of positive feedback: “We are also overjoyed that the significance of the event has been recognized by numerous city and state institutions. We are honoured to be able to organize such large-scale events in Slovenia,” adds Nataša Ritonija.
