About the festival
30 years of tradition
With more than 30 years of tradition, the European Youth Olympic Festival is the largest multi-sport event for young athletes aged 14 to 18.
Young athletes
The Festival, which takes place under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees, gives young athletes the first taste of Olympism and allows them to gain invaluable experience for further competitions on their way to the Olympic Games.
48 countries
The Festival is a biennial event held in one of the European countries. This year, 48 countries from the European continent are participating in EYOF Maribor 2023. The summer edition of the festival attracts approximately 3,600 participants and the winter edition approximately 1,600 participants.
Free entry
Entry to all sports venues and accompanying events is free of charge.
